Study on Properties of the V-beam Thermal Actuator Used in Fuze S&A Device

摘要：

A V-beam thermal actuator is used as an important control component in a faze micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) safety & arming (S&A) device. The Vbeam thermal actuator can provide 66 u m displacement and 28 u m righting displacement. It can arm the fuze and lock the faze at armed condition as a safety unit. The arming period is more precise by using the V-beam thermal actuator as a safety unit. In this paper the arming period is 0.01s.
