Stability Analysis of Surrounding Rocks of Diversion Tunnel

In combination with the water diversion project of guan yin ge reservoir of Ben Xi city, 3D solidmodel of deep -buried diversion tunnel is established.The K20 + 880 ~ K20 + 820 section of water tunnel from Guan Yin ge reservoir into Ben Xi city is analyzed and evaluated by FLAC3D.From the analyzed distribution of surrounding rock stress, the deflection of the size and the plastic zone distribution having a comprehensive analysis of surrounding rock stability after the tunnel excavated.Analysis showed that; after the tunnel excavated, There have been different degrees of pressure stress concentration zone at the at the top and sidewall of the tunnel, in which the sidewall has been a greater horizontal extrusion pressure; Tensile stress value is greater than the tensile strength of rock in the tunnels right upper arch angle and lower left arch angle at the tensile stress concentration area, so that it will be tensile failure at the two arch angles, which is bad for stability of the surrounding rock.
