Assessment of Runoff Characteristics of Limestone Aquifer and Water Inrush Risk in Liudian Coal Mine

The bottom limestone aquifer in 10 coal mine of Liudian Coal Mine is in a confined water overrun mining state andits water pressure is high and its bottom aquifer water - resisting layer is thin. Regarding Taiyuan limestone floor aquifer formation faced by Liudian Coal Mine as the research object and basing on the understanding structure hydrogeological conditions, the author analyzed the group lithology of limestones aquifer, the level of internal karsts development, the physical andmechanical properties of rock mass, the thickness variation and the group lithology of coal floor water - resisting layer so as to avoiding the limestone water bursting.Basing on existing water bursting coefficient calculation results, the numerical simulation method was put forward to forecast mining conditions fracture developing law and assesse the risk of water bursting. The assessment shows that the water inrushing coefficient exceeded the critical value to cause water inrush risk in someparts of the region, but in most of the region of the mine there have no or less water. The final result shows that by use ofmeasures for drain depression the water inrushing coefficient can be controled in a critical range to realize the safe mining.
