The Model of Home-school Collaboration Supported by Social Software
Home and school are the two most important factors affecting the develop -ment of students, so getting parents involved in their childrens educational process is becoming a very popular issue, keeping busy both practitioners and theoreticians in the field of education.With the development of the information age, social software (such as blogs, wiki, RSS and social networking web sites) is changing peoples daily living and learning, and also provides a new opportunity for home-school collaboration.This paper attempted to introduce social software into the home-school collaboration, and designed a model of home-school collaboration supported by social software-hankanbu.In this model, teachers, students and parents formed a learning community using the social software, in order to promote the development of students through school activities, home activities and home-school collaboration.Finally, the researcher argued that through social software, schools, families, even communities could exchange information, share resources and so on, thus contribute to the overall development of students.
