The Mixed VARP-Reality Mobile Role-Playing Game-based Learning Environment with Knowledge Indices
Following the previous KBIC (Knowledge-Based Intelligent Classroom) and MRPGL (Mobile Role-Playing Game-based Learning) researches, this paper construct the formal definition of a mixed virtual/ augmented/real/playground- reality role-playing game mobile learning environment, called VARP-MRPGL system.Within this system, a seven-layer architecture including game map, agent, activity, content and knowledge is defined.With knowledge index defined in such formulation, a dual-loop learning system can be easily accomplished with the feedback in a learning activity and the learning guidance of the teacher.A software system with Web-based and Android platforms is implemented with real university learning activities to prove its practicability.
