Electronic Scholarly Publishing and Challenges in the Digital Age

摘要：

Since the late 1980s, the Digital Revolution has brought profound change to the publishing industry, and the development of electronic scholarly publishing becomes an important part for the distribution and sharing of information and research results in academic field. Academic publishers are forced to react to the scholars demands and reader expectation brought about by the trend with electronic scholary publishing models. However, in order to meet the challenges brought about by the electronic scholarly publishing, the cooperation of the important stakeholders in the field such as academic institutions, libraries, publishers, documentation and information centers should be actively and positively encouraged.
