The Root Cause of Slow Transformation and Upgrading of Chinas Private Manufacturing: A Case Study of Quanzhou
The inner driving force that transforms the factordriven manufacturing to an innovation -driven one comes from the synergy between entrepreneurial innovation and employee innovation. As a representative, Quanzhous private manufacturing after great success is experiencing slow transformation and upgrading. The root cause is the interaction of the tardiness of entrepreneurial innovation with the lack of the employees that patriarch-based management brings about, which leads to the inadequacy of the inner driving force in transformation and upgrading, together with the limited effectiveness in utilizing the favorable conditions. The solution of this typical problem in Quanzhou will shed light to the research on the countermeasures to transform and upgrade the manufacturing throughout China.
