Board of Directors and Technical Efficiency—Based on the Comparison between State-Owned listed Companies and Non State-Owned listed Companies
This article selects the listed manufacturing companies between 2005-2009 as the research object, evaluates the technical efficiency through DEA and compares the relationship between the board and technical efficiency for two kinds of company. The results show that: the size of board, the percentage of independent directors have more positive effects on technical efficiency for non stateowned companies than state-owned companies, the setting of manager and chairman has no remarkable effects.
