On the Influence of Executives’ Population Features over Corporate Performance

This paper by empirical approach studies the influence of executives’ population features over corporate performance. The study of total samples shows: there is no significant correlation between heterogeneity indicators of executives and corporate performance; the average of educational level of is positively correlated to corporate performance. The study that classifies sample companies into state-owned holding companies and non-state-owned holding companies shows that the average of executives’ ages in state-owned holding companies is large, the term of office is long, and educational level is high, while their performance is less than that of non-state-owned holding companies; the influence that homogeneity indicators of executives from this two forms affect the corporate performance is different.
