A Research on Industrialization Evolution of the Resource-Based Economy: Comparative analysis on Shanxi and Jiangsu Province in China
The resource-based economy is a kind of economy, which has comparative advantage on resources and relies on the exploitation of resources. In this paper, we choose Shanxi Province in China as the research object which is a resource-based economy. We will also choose Jiangsu Province as the reference object, which is an economy of natural resources shortage but has rapid industrialization process. In this thesis, we use empirical analysis methods to study the mechanism and path of the industrialization evolution process of different resource type economies. Based on the study, we draw a conclusion that the evolution process of industrialization of the resource abundance-based economy is the coexistence of normal and abnormal. So the paper argues that to implement the transformation of the resource-based economy, the inherent path should be changed. Only then the resource-based economy would walk out a normal path of industrialized gradual progress.
