A Empirical Study on Energy Consumption and Economy Growth In Shanxi based on ECM

摘要：

The relationship of energy consumption and economy growth has becoming more and more critical recently. In common the energy resource is the driving force to economy growth. In Shanxi province the coal resources are rich, however the economy has been lagged for many years. The aim of the paper is to analysis the relationship between energy consumption and economy growth based on cointegration and error correction model. The results of the empirical study show that the long-run relationship of the energy consumption and economy growth exists, at the same time, the short term relationship between them can be corrected by ECM.
