Improved Successive Approximation Procedure for Optimal Control of Nonlinear Systems with Disturbances
Optimal control of nonlinear systems with disturbances is considered. By employing Successive Approximation Approach (SAA), an improved successive approximation procedure is proposed to approximate the nonlinear optimal control problem in a novel manner to suppress the ill effect produced by the compensation error for nonlinearity on the rejection for external disturbances. The procedure is proved to be iteratively solvable and convergent. An example shows the validity of the procedure.
