Optimal Regulation via WSAN with Measurement Noise

This paper addresses the issue of optimal regulation of a linear time-invariant multi-input multi-output discrete-time system in the framework of wireless sensor and actuator networks. The plant output signal is transmitted through wireless communication channel and then subjected to measurement noise resulting from multisensor data fusion. Result shows that how the communication channel takes effect on the optimal regulation performance. Also, we found that the measurement noise inevitably degrades the achievable regulation performance and the extent of the degradation depends on the way that how the noise interacts with the unstable poles and non-minimum phase zeros which are the intrinsic properties of the plant.
