A Cognitive Radio Based Reliability Optimization for Industrial Wireless DSSS/CH Transmission Links
Industrial wireless network(IWN) owns several advantages over traditional industrial wired network, such as eliminating blind spots, increasing plant availability, reducing maintenance costs and so on. However, the co-channel interference makes it a significant challenge to get reliable wireless links in industrial application. Transmission link can be much better resistant to interference with the help of cognitive radio which can flexibly change the channel locations according to the sensing result of the interference power spectral. In this paper, we exploit a new practical anti-interference method for IWN by utilizing spectrum sensing for direct sequence spread spectrum/channel hopping (DSSS/CH) based wireless multi-hop links via in WirelessHART protocol standard. We first establish the spectrum efficiency model for DSSS channel, and then consider the channel location optimization setting problem to obtain the best available channel set(ACT). A feasible hierarchical traversal algorithm is presented for practical applications. Simulation results show that the spectrum efficiency is greatly increased compared to the traditional mechanism by exploiting the prososed method.
