Observer-Based Control for Linear System With Event-Triggered Sensor
The problem of observer-based control of linear systems with event-triggered sensors is considered. Different from sampled data control systems, where the sampling happens periodically, the control systems with event-triggered sensors and controllers considered in this paper work with sampling only when an “event happens, and the typical event is defined as some error signals exceeding a given threshold. In this case, the observer and controller are only updated at the event-triggered sampling instants. Both full-order and also reduced-order observer cases are considered. It is shown that even with the significantly reduced sampling frequency, the global uniform ultimate bounded stability of the closed-loop systems has been established. Numerical examples are finally used to illustrate the effectiveness and the advantages of the proposed approaches.
