Fuzzy Logic Based Multivariable Supervisory Control of a Complicated Industrial Process
In process industry, a practical process is generally characterized by being multivariable, non-linearity, severe coupling, large-time delay, and time-variance. As such, it is difficult to achieve a satisfactory performance using the conventional control method. In this paper, a fuzzy logic based advanced control system is proposed for supervisory control a multivariable mineral grinding process. This advanced control system can auto-adjust the set-points of the process controllers according to the operational conditions. As long as the process control system tracks their adjusted set-points, the closed-loop control of the final grinding product quality index can be realized. The actual industrial application results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
