Study On Bilingual Teaching in Newly Founded Colleges Analysis based on a Questionnaire Survey
The newly founded colleges often actively carry out bilingual teaching attempts to improve the teaching level and comprehensive quality. However, as later comers, those colleges have weak foundation for bilingual teaching and have various difficulties. According to the results of a questionnaire survey, students do not have much initiative for bilingual study; resources of bilingual teaching are far from enough and teacher training system needs improvement; the use and building of bilingual books are improper to some extent; and the bilingual teaching environment should be further enhanced. To address those issues, the newly founded colleges are suggested to launch bilingual teaching activities on a trial basis, establish and improve the mechanism for bilingual teacher qualification management and training, select or prepare suitable books for students according to their condition, and explore scientific teaching model.
