Investigation of Two-dimensional Magnetic-Photonic Crystal Circulator with a Ferrite Post
Based on the method of FDTD, in this paper numerical results for resonance frequency of micro-cavity constructed by a point defect were as expected with those experimental values. An equivalent cylindrical resonator was given for two-dimensional magnetophotonic crystal with point defect. Through calculating the minimum combination of eigenmodes of cylindrical resonator, good agreement between numerical result of insertion loss and isolation of the circulator with those simulation calculations was observed.
