A review of chemical reduction technology for bromate from drinking water
Bromate is a byproduct formed during ozonation or chlorination and its potential carcinogenicity has caused the attention of researchers domestic and overseas, technologies of minimization and reduction for bromate come to be the concern of study. Chemical reduction of bromate provides, an efficient and economical approach, and it shows a promising method to remove bromate from drinking water. The mechanism and characteristics of several chemical technologies, including zero valent iron reduction, composite metal reduction and catalytic hydrogenation, were conducted in this paper, and the directions of further research were also discussed.
