Framework of Multiregional Water Quality Management Information System
Interregional fatal water pollution accidents have brought great challenges to Chinese traditional water quality management information system. Resource sharing and cooperation between departments and between regions are key problems the traditional systems have to face. Aim at these problems, the framework of multiregional water quality management information system based on distributed workflow is designed. The distributed workflow network included in the framework enhances cooperation among departments by providing procedural automation of emergency process and managing the sequence of activities in different departments. A simulation study represented using Petri Net modules carried out for a fetal pollution accident between regions indicates that the framework has concurrent processing capacity and emergencies are addressed quickly and efficiently with the cooperation of different departments and regions.
