Maintenance Plan for Expressway Based on Weight-calculating charge
With the rapid economical development, the expressway network in China has covered 30 provinces and the mileage in express way open to traffic had reached 74113 Km by the end of 2010. All the expressways are toll road in China except Hainan province, which is levying of fuel tax. Most of maintenance plans for expressway are based on traffic flow or experiences. For expressway maintenance with such a huge network, there is a great need of practical computing methods based on sound scientific theory. The truck weightcalculating charge with Chinese characteristics is making steady progress and covered 87％ expressway mileage. On every exit lane, there is the low velocity dynamical weighting equipment with information such as model of the vehicle, weight of each axis and the total weight stored in the tolling database. A study of axis-weight based on SQL Server2008 is introduced in this paper. The processing of all the axis weight in a certain period on road provides the road load capacity and draws the figure by the GIS software Trans CAD. Our method provides the basis to the management of succeeded in finding professional and scientific expressway maintenance plan.
