Research on Statistical Characteristics of Quality Problems during Construction of Jinghu High-Speed Railway

With the increase of scale and improvement of construction technology and quality standards of high-speed railway, quality control has become the emphasis of construction project management of highspeed railway. In the paper, 5 359 quality problems are collected during the construction of Contract Section Two and Three of Jinghu High-Speed Railway, which have been discovered by Jinghu general headquarter, Jinan branch headquarters, supervision companies, foreign quality representatives and Quality and Safety Supervision Station of Railway Ministry, and they are statistically analyzed based on the inspection organizations, 4M1E factors, and the locations so as to find the key factors which influence the construction quality. The quality problems caused by staff and those occurring in the bridge construction are analyzed further. The following conclusions are drawn: (1) Jinghu General Headquarter and Jinan branch headquarters are the organizations which have discovered the most quality problems; (2) Staff is the key factor which influence the construction quality of Jinghu High-Speed Railway most; (3) The Tunnel, beam body and pier and abutment of bridge are the locations where quality problems are most likely to occur. Those conclusions have great significance to guide the quality control during the construction of high-speed railway.
