Soil-structural Dynamic Characteristics against Wind
The dynamic characteristics of structure directly affect the effect of dynamic load. Soil cannot be neglected in the analysis of dynamic characteristics. Not the same with earthquake load, dynamic wind load transfer from the structure to the soil, so soil inertia forces can be ignored. Mass less foundation method can meet the requirements of soil-structural dynamic characteristics analysis against wind load. First, the equation of soil-structural motion was introduced. Second, the range of limited ground is determined targeted to shear wall structure with box base. Finally, soil-structural dynamic characteristics were analyzed. It shows that adequate foundation depth can effectively control the swing of building. Increasing the stiffness of the soil can be used for controlling soil-structural dynamic characteristics. It is further to establish relationship for controlling soil-structural dynamic characteristics between the mass and stiffness of the upper structure.
