Analysis of Numerical Simulations of Oil-spill Diffusions on Bohai Bay Area

Usually the technique of numerical simulation is an important tool to research the environmental problem of ocean. The article analyses and predicts the hydrodynamic feature of study area on the basis of ECOM model. The results show that the computing result is the same with the measured values, which could well reflect the characteristics of flow field in the study sea area. Based on the model calibration, the model predicts the effects on the surrounding sea area after the shipbuilding & repairing base is built. The model also forecasts the oil-spill bound and transport track when such shipping accidents occur under the condition of no wind or adverse wind direction.
