Development Pattern and Strategy of Green Building Assessment System in Hot and Humid Climate Zone
The latest trend in building architecture in China is being driven more by the urgency of sustainability than by the desire for sublimity. The objective of this present research was to investigate the adaptability of green building assessment in China. Several assessment systems that are successful in the world are listed. Based on the actual situations of green building in China and a wide analysis of the main characteristics of energy conservation, some key issues about green building assessment system were discussed in detail. The results indicate that regional differences should be well considered when selecting item and setting index. The relationship for Q-L evaluation method conforms to the domestic reality. This work is valuable for the development of green buildings in China.
