Efficient diffusion mechanism for image encryption in the ECB mode
Aiming at the specific texture property which exists in the cipher image with the implementation of encryption algorithm in ECB mode, an efficient diffusion mechanism to eliminate the phenomenon is proposed. By analyzing the reasons for the phenomenon, pseudo-random sequences were adopted to permute the bytes of the identical plaintext block before encryption, it can be effectively removed. The security of the image encryption technique has been analyzed using PSNR、 plain sensitivity test and statistical analysis. Experimental results verify that this mechanism enhances the performance and security of AES algorithm in the ECB mode.
