Energy Analysis of A Ground Source Heat Pump System with Floor-Heating for Applications in the Greenhouse
The use of renewable energy for greenhouse heating in winter and cold days, helps to save fossil fuels and conserve green farm environment on the one hand, and on the other hand, enhances the quality of agricultural products, reduces production costs and limits the release of greenhouse gases. In this study, an experimental research on greenhouse heat supply in winter, taking the ground source heat pump as the heat source and the floor-heating system as the heating method was developed to use natural energy, to the extent possible, for thermal environment control of the greenhouse. The analytical results indicate that greenhouse floor-heating system can save 28% energy consumption by contrast with traditional heating system. Experimental greenhouse heating system, with a coefficient of performance value of 3.79, may conducing to saving 47.4 % of energy consumption compared to the greenhouse using coal-fired boiler and floor-heating system, or even saving as much as 62.5% of energy by contrast with the greenhouse based on coal-fired boiler and traditional heating system. These results showed that the utilization of a GSHP-Floor heating system is a suitable approach for greenhouse heating in this district.
