OFD-CCFM Signal Design and Performance Analysis for MIMO Radar
MIMO radar is a new radar technology proposed recently. On the transmitter, each channel radiates a omnidirectional and orthogonal waveform. On the receiver, the return signals are processed through a bank of matched filters to separate each transmitted signals. Hence, the orthogonal performance between signals is crucial for implementing MMO radar system. This paper presents the concept of Orthogonal Frequency Division-Continuous Chaos Frequency Modulation Signal (OFD-CCFMS), the autocorrelation function and cross-correlation function of OFD-CCFMS are derived in theory, and analyzed the relationship of signal parameters and the correlation function . Simulation results Show that the theoretical analysis is correct. Compared with orthogonal frequency division-Linear Frequency Modulation Signal(OFDLFMS), OFD-CCFMS has a better orthogonality. But the signal has a higher autocorrelation peak sidelobe, we need to suppress the peak sidelobe.
