Research of Steel Structure Designer
Steel structure which has a history of just 100 years, is still a younger member in the structure or civil engineering vocabulary. However, because of special advantages of better elastoplasticity, high strength and high stability over traditional concrete structures and masonry structures the steel structure has made great development becoming one of the most important structures nowadays. After Chinese accession to WTO, various steel products such as high strength low alloy steel, alloy structure steel, ultrahigh strength steel, stainless steel, heat resistance steel, tool and die steel and bearing steel have all made great progress in both quality and output. At the same time there appeared lot of researchers, institutes, works about steel product and steel structure design from the points of both materials science and structure engineering. In this work we made some discussion about steel structure design based on several of papers, something related to strength, stiffness, connection, fire resistance, seismic and construction of steel structure.
