Study on the influence of the Qujiang Bridge in the Qujiang River

Through the hydraulic model test, the Qujiang composite arch bridge type and flow conditions at the entrance area of lower approach channel of the Fengdongzi project is studied, the hydraulic model results shown: due to the right bridge pier arranged on the lower approach channel, which not only influenced the flow greatly and produced oblique flow, but also affected the passing ships safety. Test put forward some improving measures to flow condition improve in the paper, But the bridge can not meet the requirements of navigation clearance. I* is suggested that the design department optimize the bridge location and the bridge type.
