The Analysis and Comparison of Soil Dielectric Constant-Water Content Models
Based on the relational model of soil dielectric constant -water content, the Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) is often used for estimating soil water content. Firstly, the features of Topp model, Mixing model and Diffusion model are compared. Then, the causes of errors in each model are analyzed with test data. The results show that the parameters of Mixing model and Diffusion model are too randomly to be determined. Although the Topp model causes deviations for not considering the soil components, it can get good fitting effect in practical application with simply being revised.
