Weak Signal Detection Based on Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer
The Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) detection technology is becoming increasingly important and widely applied in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) field. Although with the advantages of no contact with the measured object and without coupling agent, the conversion efficiency of EMAT is low, and the received signal is very weak. In this paper, to improve the quality of the received EMAT signal, a preamplifier based on the AD603 chip is design to receive the Lame wave in 20KHz-10MHz frequency range, and the gain of preamplifier is up to 120dB. The experiments result shows that this preamplifier can be used effectively to receive the weak EMAT signal, and it can meet the design requirements.
