Analysis on damping ratio of composite structure of pharmaceutical factory
In this paper, the damping ratio of Beijing Biological Pharmaceutical Factory, as a composite structure, is explored by using the MIDAS/GEN. Four 3D models, are established in order to consider the effects of material on structure; single damping ratio and the group of damping ratios is introduced respectively to calculate elastic interstory angular displacement and elastic-plastic interstory angular displacement. The results of both methods are compared so that the damping ratio of the composite structure can be estimated, which provides a foundation for similar structures in earthquake action calculation of damping ratio.
