Mechanical Fault Diagnosis using Vague Sets
The similarity measure formula is the base of mechanical fault diagnosis using vague sets. There procedure in the mechanical fault diagnosis is: (ⅰ) set up the standard fault sets and extract the candidate set which is to be detected, (ⅱ) Get the filtered features, (ⅲ) Process the data including standard sets and the candidate set in the vague environment: the data is initialized in vague form, (ⅳ) Trigger the fault diagnosis using vague sets: the similarity measure formula between the candidate vague set and the standard library vague sets is found, thus the decision on whether there is a fault can be made. A new similarity measure formula between vague sets A and B is proposed as Mm(A,B)=1-nn∑i=1(1-∣f(m)ai-f(m)bi∣)·(1-1-2∣x(m)ai-x (m)bi∣). The formula and fault diagnosis mechanism are confirmed under the context of rotating machinery. The results are coinciding with that of existing method proposed in references.
