Study on attenuation discipline of vibration velocity induced by blasting in the face slope of the tunnel

Stress wave induced by blasting propagate in rock mass is influenced by many factors. For the face slope of highway tunnel, the rock property and topographic are greatly affected on attenuation discipline of vibration velocity. For this reason, experimental study is on attenuation discipline of vibration velocity induced by blasting at the entrance of the tunnel. Results have shown that the attenuation discipline isnt agreed with Sadovs formula because the parameters concluded by monitored data (K=49.98, a =1.38) didnt predict the vibration velocity and safe distance. Considering the influence of topographic and altitude, Sadovs formula was improved. Then the parameters were induced through monitoring data and the parameters (K=120.81,a=1.24) can predict better the vibration velocity and safe distance. Therefore, when Sadovs formula is used, its suitable extent should be carefully considered. And vibration velocity is affected by frequency and height in theory. This conclusion is vital to use as a source of reference of other blasting engineer to predict vibration parameters.
