Effect of emulsifier and additives on the stability of emulsified asphalt

摘要：

Some special performance of emulsified asphalt was required as it was used in CA mortar, among them; the stability of emulsion is one of the important properties of emulsified asphalt In this paper, the effects of the emulsifiers and additives on the stability of emulsified asphalt were studied. The results indicate that the storage stability of emulsified asphalt got better with the increase of emulsifiers SD-2 and CMC amount; as the associative thickener ZJ-T amount increased, the storage stability of emulsified asphalt firstly got worse and then better, finally became stable. The compound use of CMC with associative thickener ZJ-T could significantly improve the storage stability of emulsified asphalt and the compound use was more effective than single use of addictives.
