Evaluating the spatial distribution of urban parks by network analysis and Geostatistical analysis
As an important part of the urban public service and open space, the urban parks play a significant role in improving urban ecological environment and living conditions. In the paper, we did the quantitative research on the spatial distribution of urban parks by GIS-based network analysis and Geostatistical analysis in Nanning city, china. Based on the road network dataset, the service areas of the urban parks created by network analyst are helpful to evaluate each parks accessibility and efficacy. We also performed a closest facility analysis to find the closest park from the residential areas and save the cost of distance value to correspondence residential locations data. Then, it was used to evaluate the spatial distribution of urban parks overall by Geostatistical analyst method. According to the results, suggestions were proffered to the urban plan of constructing of parks in Nanning city.
