Evaluation of sludge characteristics and carbon dioxide emissions of full-scale wastewater treatment plants in China by mass and energy balances

摘要：

Energy balances were used to evaluate the characteristics of sludge and to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions in the WWTPs in this study. To avoid the errors, mass balances by TP have been used to calibrate the relating data before making energy balances. It can help us easily calculate the CO2 emissions of WWTPs and help us to practically design and operate WWTPs environmentally-friendly.
