Experiment Study on Road Service Performance of Thin-layer Antiskid Colored Pavement

Thin-layer antiskid colored pavement is paved at the surface of road, bearing combined action of wheel load and environmental load directly. Its suffering force situation is complex. Shear breakage, bend breakage, fatigue breakage may take place in thinlayer antiskid colored pavement by the repeat action of wheel load. Furthermore, environmental load cant be neglected, especially for freeze-thaw effect that generated by season alternation of winter and spring in cold area. The article also considered salt (use to clear snow) erosion to thin-layer antiskid colored pavement. Based on the above cases, the article tested shear strength, bending-tensile strength and fatigue performance of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement. The results showed that thin-layer antiskid colored pavement experienced freeze-thaw cycles. Its shear strength and bending-tensile strength both decreased by more than 10%. Erosion action of salt has small influence on the strength of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement. According to the result of fatigue performance test, the article estimated that service life of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement is more than 5 years.
