Influence Mechanism of Rural Tourism Acting on Public Space of Historical Villages——A Case Study in Beijing Cuandixia Village
With rural tourism prevailing in rural areas of China, tourism has become one of the most important development strategies in the historical villages. This paper takes Cuandixia (a historic and cultural village highly developed in rural tourism in Beijing suburbs) as a case study. Based on the analysis and conclusion to the three developing stages and their features of rural tourism in this village, it constructs a public space system and analyzes the evolvement of the public space in different stages. And then, it anatomizes the influence mechanism of rural tourism acting on the historical public spaces from spatial and social aspects. Under the influence of rural tourism, four new types of public space were developed with business culture embedded, subjective consciousness promoted and traditional culture revived.
