Steel Production Factory Converter Pile-raft Foundation Analysis and Design

Base on the project of steel production factory converters pile-raft foundations design, the pile-raft foundations average settlement, differential settlement, axial force of pile, stress of raft and so on have been analyzed through this method, that is Poulos theory counting pile-soil stiffness and Reissner thick plank calculating raft. Through the result of program, the plank thickness and pile amount have been optimized for this project. Raft thickness change 3 m to 2.3 m and six piles have been saved. On the condition of satisfaction the regulation of Chinese pile code, it has been economized 18.36% of the project total cost. This steel production factory converter has been successfully and safely put into production, optimizing design get good economic benefit.
