Study on Characteristics and Application of Bipolar Corona Discharge
This paper systematically studies the current-voltage characteristics and the spectrum characteristics of bipolar corona discharge in multi needle electrode configuration, and determines the optimized space between electrodes. This model of needle matrix bipolar corona discharge is applied to trap particles and remove Formaldehyde. It has a higher trapping rate, especially when the diameter of particles is lower than lum, and run long in indoor air cleaning. The formaldehyde can be oxidized rapidly and efficiently by this bipolar corona discharge, because of it can produce amount of high energy electrons and free radicals.
