The Calculation of Normal Displacement of Elastic Contact in a Rectangular Area under Distributed Load

摘要：

By use of the expression for an elastic quarter-space with elastic contact under point load, train of though of Castiglianos principle based on elastic deformation energy is employed to solve the normal displacement for a rectangular area under distributed load in an elastic quarter-space. To verify the effectiveness for the solution, the calculation of this paper, the experiment data and the calculation of Foppl formula are given.
