The Design and Implementation of a High-power Mobile Substation
This paper presents a scheme design and implementation of a high-power mobile substation, which used to convert local standard AC to the requirement of electrical equipment. In this system, a three-phase AC generator is driven by a DC motor, the motor convert electrical energy to rotary energy and then generator convert rotary energy to electrical energy. The speed of DC motor determines the frequency of output AC, and the voltage of output is controlled by the feedback system. According to the result of a mount of experiment, this system shows the characteristics of high efficiency and reliable. Comparing with the existing frequency conversion equipment, its structure is more stable and service life is much longer. It can be widely used in port, motor speed controlling and any other situations when a 440V, 60Hz power supply is necessary in a 380V, 50Hz region.
