The improvement and application of the ecological footprint model about campus environmental bearing capacity--A Case Study of Tsinghua University
This study is based on the Energy Theory, aimed at improving the traditional ecological footprint model in the campus, and building the energy-ecological footprint model to measure the campus environments bearing capacity. Taking Tsinghua Universitys main campus as an example, it estimates the energy- ecological footprint and the energy-ecological bearing capacity of energy, food, garbage, paper, water and transportation energy of the teachers and students in Tsinghua Universitys main campus in daily life. Overall, the energy-ecological footprint of the main campus of Tsinghua University has a significant amount, while the per capita amount is high with great energy ecological deficit, and among them, the raw coal and gasoline take the highest proportion. At last, according to the calculated result, from (planning, system construction, technological innovation, etc.) these three aspects, it puts forward the strategy of green campus construction, including reducing the energy ecological footprint of campus and improving the energy ecological bearing capacity.
