Damage Constitutive Relationship of Asphalt Mixture under Uniaxial Cyclic Loading
Test data of stress-strain is analyzed for asphalt mixture under uniaxial cyclic Loading, internal structure void areas of scanned samples are discussed. It is shown that with the increase of cycling times, internal structure void of samples increase gradually, the void developed into internal crack and then surface crack, in the end the samples tend to be destroyed in blocks. According to the material damage mechanics theory, the nonlinear stress-strain model of the asphalt mixture is set up under uniaxial cyclic loading. By comparison of the computation results and testing results, validity of the model is proved. This supplies theory basis for asphalt pavement structure design in which design principle of reasonable dynamic design parameters and matched failure phase are adopted.
