Land Use/Cover Change Analysis on the Basis of Policies of Conversion on Cultivated Land and Urbanization by 3S Technologies—A case study in Guizhou karst area

摘要：

Using 3S technologies, this study deals with the land use/cover change by discussing the policy of converting cultivated land into forest and grass and the impact of urbanization on slope of karst area in Guizhou. Results of the study are as follows. 1. The program of cultivated land conversion reduces the exposed rock area. 2. With the increase of slope, the percentage of conversion of cultivated land to forest goes down but rises to grass. 3. With the increase of slope, the percentage of converted arable land area drops down for urbanization.
