Analytical Solution for Spatially Dependent Solute Transport in Streams with Fractional Storage Zone
A time-fractional transient storage model is proposed. The spatially dependent flow velocity and solute dispersion are considered in the governing equations, and the exact analytical solution for transport of solutes in streams is studied by using the generalized integral transform technique coupled with Laplace transform method. The solution includes the e.ects of exchange with transient storage zones, modelled by a fractional order rate equation. Some illustrative examples are presented to be the special cases of present results.
