Preshaping command inputs for third generation CRONE control: Simulation on a DC motor bench

Shaping command input is used for reducing oscillation in motion control. Desired system inputs are altered so that the system achieves the requested move without residual oscillation. This technique is developed by N.C. Singer and W.P. Seering for flexible structures, and applied especially in aerospace field. This paper presents the study of ZVosc shaper, a special shaper structure for third generation CRONE control. Thus, a necessary theoretical step, dealing with analytical response of third generation CRONE control, is presented. A robustness study of ZVosc shaper is then presented and applied to improve third generation CRONE control response time. Results in simulation on DC motor bench model are given.
