The Conversion Gateway of IPv4/ IPv6 Communicaition Based on NAT-PT

The Internet Protocol version 4(IPv4)/ Internet Protocol version 6(IPv6) mutual communication is the IPv4 to IPv6 over key technologies. Dual stack, tunneling technology and Network Address Translation - Protocol Translation three basic transition techniques have been studied. Their technical characteristics and use are pointed out. Design of an IPv4/ IPv6 conversion gateway was designed in the Linux 2.4.x. The conversion gateway was tested in the campus network. The actual operation shows that it is stable and reliable.
